My New Project

When I was in Georgia, I decided that I wanted to make myself a camera strap slipcover. The project grew a little larger and now it is the start of my new business. I am excited to introduce

The SWēT strap is designed to add comfort and style to your existing camera strap. With hip and modern patterns, the SWēT strap slips easily over your existing camera strap. Simply unclip one end of your camera strap from the camera, slide the cover over the strap, reattach the strap to your camera and you are ready to go. The SWēT strap measures 2 ¾” by 22” and fits most standard camera straps.

The camera straps will be sold on line and at Scrapfest. Karen at Go Scrapping Studio and Retreats has generously allowed me to sell the straps in her booth. They will retail for $20 including tax.

Now, question to my blog readers - did you know that it was Sweet or did you think it was Sweat. I am trying to determine if I have to add another e to the name. Would totally appreciate your comments regarding the name and the extra "e".

Look for more posts with different colour options. If you have a fabric that you love and have been saving for a rainy day - let me know and I can make you up a strap.

We Are Home

Well last night actually. We left Georgia on Friday morning, flew into Buffalo and drove right to Ottawa for the weekend. By the time we got there everyone was a little on the cranky side - mom included. We didn't make it to Ottawa for Christmas this year so on this trip we celebrated Christmas, 2 birthdays and Persian New Years. It was a whirlwind but it was great to see everyone and the kids had a blast with their cousins.

Today - back to reality. Groceries, dance, homework, ringette and piano practising.

Why is it that vacations seem so short?

When I was away I was working on a little project that I am going to kick off in a couple of days. Can't wait to show you what I have been working on!

Happy St.Patrick's Day

6:00 a.m. First kid wakes up ready to blow up the green balloons and is told to go back to bed
7:30 we are all up and in full party planning mode
The green stuff has all been bought including hats, glasses and bow ties (pictures to follow later)
We have a menu planned with all green foods - lime sherbert punch, spinach dip with celery, cucumber and green pepper, cream of broccoli soup, chicken caeser salad, green cheese biscuits, pickles and olives and finishing with melon, green grapes and green apples and don't forget the St.Patrick's cupcakes
The guests arrive at 12 and the party begins
The party even includes a little talent show
Fun, fun, fun - the kids were on cloud nine
We had a late afternoon boat ride and watched the sunset
Card games
American Idol with the kids - a March break special treat
Good night!

Day 4

Cold and rainy AGAIN, not really what we had in mind
Swimming at the pool
Getting ready for the St.Patrick's day party - major party planning
