Camping Adventures

This weekend was our annual camping trip. This year we went to Long Point. We love that beach and it is perfect for the kids. With the exception of the fish flies we had a great time. It is a great way to spend Father's Day. Andy loved his gifts the kids made and wore the tie that Meredith made around the campsite today. I love watching Andy with the girls on weekends like this. He is an awesome dad and is great with the girls. Happy Father's day Andy, you are a great dad.
Last night on the beach the lighting was perfect for photos. Avery was a great subject. She was interested in how to get the silhouette shots. I was happy because she has been shying away from the camera these day.

Happy Father's Day to my dad and to Andy's dad too!

Recipe Book

My friend Jodi asked me to make a recipe book for a shower that she is holding for her sister-in-law to be. This is what I came up with. I used an American Crafts album, Pink Paislee paper (I think I am in love. I got the Pink Paislee papers in a kit from Work in Progress),the dividers from the Basic Grey lunch pail tins and my mini stamp set (which I also love). I am really happy with how this project turned out. I hope she likes it to.

and the Winner is....

Meredith drew the winner from the 100th post draw this morning - as you can see Patti is the big winner (Patti email me).

Wanted to wish my friend Mindy a Happy 30th Birthday today. What an exciting year you have ahead. I hope you have a great birthday. Enjoy!

Hopefully later today I will be posting a project that I have been working on for my friend Jodi. I am so excited about it - I hope she likes it.

Have a great Thursday and hope for me that the yucky tummy sickness has left the house. I hope Avery is going back to school today.

We gathered ...

we ate, we talked, we laughed, we had fun last night! I had a little pre-baby gathering for my friend Liz who is expecting her third baby. As you can see by the pictures she is having a little girl. A group of moms got together to share in this special occasion. I snapped a couple of pictures of Liz before the night was over doesn't she look beautiful. So excited to see this little person in a few weeks.

The cookies were made by Cake Chic, the business run by my friend Amberlea. Aren't they cute. Not only are they cute but they tasted delicious. Thanks Amberlea!

100th Post

I can't believe that I am at 100 posts. I love that I started blogging and that I am keeping a record for myself of milestones and events in my life. I love that it gives me a forum to show the projects that I am working on. I love that it keeps me connected with people. Leave me a comment on this post and I will draw a winner for a RAK sometime later this week.

The weekend is drawing to a close. I always seem to need a few more hours in the day to get all the things done that I want. Anyone have a solution for that problem?

I was working on a project for my mom this week. She is going to a wedding in 2 weeks and bought the bride and groom some awesome beach towels, picnic bag and cookbooks. She wanted to add a little something else to the gift and this is what I came up with. I had fun using the bright colours (these are the colours in the beach towels). I used one of the new Scenic Route covered albums and the papers are We are Memory Keepers. I inserted clear plastic sheets in between each of the Scenic Route pages. I had fun using White StazOn to do some stamping on the clear sheets. I totally scored the clear plastic. My neighbour had a bunch of posters done for her job and was throwing out the plastic coating. I scooped it out of the garbage and I will have clear plastic to last me a long time.

Thanks for reading my blog - here is to another 100 posts!! Don't forget to leave your name for the draw.
